Based on the novel 'Jessica' by Bryce Courtenay, this epic period drama
traces a women's harsh, tumultous life in the Australian bush. A
sweeping saga
of love, deceit and sacrifice set during the early years of the 20th
century in the farmlands around Narrandera, a small frontier town in
rural New South Wales, Jessica stars Leeanna Wallsman as a beautiful,
spirited tomboy who rises up against the ruthless ambition of her
mother.
The fine cast also features Sam Neill (Jurrasic Park) in the role of
the alcoholic English barrister Richard Runche, Jessica’s one
trusted ally in the town. A hugely successful TV mini-series.
