This series follows six young Australians
who go to war full of confidence and bravado. When Singapore falls in
1942 they are marched off to Changi where they endure three-and-a-half
years of life as prisoners of war, receiving brutal treatment from the
Japanese.
Changi is a story of Australian mateship, of boys who become men in a
climate of fear, who react to the terror around them in the way they
know best. The stories are told in flashback by the soldiers many years
later when they are old.
Written by John Doyle and starring Stephen Curry, Leon Ford, Anthony
Hayes, Bill Kerr, Desmond Kelly, Geoff Morrell, Matthew Newton, Mark
Priestley, Charles 'Bud' Tingwell, Matthew Whittet and Frank Wilson.
