Andrew Durant, one of Australia’s most talented songwriters
and leader of 70s band Stars, died of cancer in May 1980. In a stunning
tribute, Australia’s best rock musicians performed all his
compositions in a recorded concert at Melbourne’s Palais
Theatre.
On DVD for the first time, this concert features Andy’s Stars
band mates with guests Jimmy Barnes, Renee Geyer, Ian Moss, Mal
Eastick, Don Walker, Richard Clapton and many more. This truly is
Australian rock history caught live and spontaneous 28 years ago.
The DVD, in superb 5.1 surround sound, also features a bonus disc of
Stars recorded live at Melbourne’s Bombay Rock prior to
Andy’s death.
