Unable to follow the Amsterdam Bed-In with a similar event in the U.S.,
due to John's precarious visa eligibility at the time, they choose
Montreal across the Canadian border & simply invited the
American Media to come to them. On the 26th of May 1969 they moved into
room 1742 of the Queen Elizabeth Hotel and for seven days from the
comfort of their own bed, talked Peace to anyone who would listen.
Culminates in the classic live bedroom recording of "Give Peace a
Chance."
